Step 1:
Tell yourself the truth! Ask your self " what hurts me?" "what heals
me or makes me feel good?" Write this out on a piece of paper in two
columns What I love to do in one column and what I don't enjoy in
the other column. At first your what I don't enjoy will fill up fast
,, nobody is going to see this or pass judgement so be honest.. If
you hate to do laundry write it down, some people love to iron, just
keep writing. Take some time to do this.
Step 2:
Take a look at your "What I love to do list" When was the last time
you did any of those things? Now is the time to take a step and do
one of those things,,this is a baby step in learning what being fulfilled
and living your hearts desire is going to feel like.
Step 3:
Try to find ways to decrease the "what I don't enjoy " list. Do you
really need to work on that committee? Do you really have to say yes
when you want to say no? At any given moment you are either cutting
yourself free or you are restricting yourself . Does it contribute
to your freedom or your imprisonment? To remove from your life that
activity that doesn't serve you, will make way for time and energy
that thing you desire or heals you. If something leaves you feeling
drained and depleted,,,, remove it!
Step 4:
Now make a list of talents and activities that seem to reward you
the most. What do your friends and strangers compliment you the most
on? What skill or talent brings you the most money quickly? What I
mean is when you work for somebody it takes a week to get paid, what
have you done or created that got you money right away? wrote a story
and sold it in an hour? baked a cake for the bake sale and it sold
first? painted a painting and it's gone? This is a clue from the Universe
trying to point the way for you.
Step 5
Try to make choices based on the joyful or peaceful feelings they
bring. Don't try to dress your soul in an outfit that doesn't fit
,, you will NEVER be comfortable. You just can't walk very far in
shoes that don't fit nor can your soul or spirit excel when being
pinched with ill fitting gear or choices.
Step 6
What would you do even if your weren't being paid for it? Jesus gave
us this same clue "Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and all shall
be added" to me he was saying ,,, find out what gives you joy , move
toward it and everything will fall into place for you . Money does
not bring happiness but happiness brings or attracts money. This is
so very contrary to what we believe and if you can really grasp that
statement you will be living your heart's desire.
Step 7
You have a guide that resides in you all the time. Learn to listen
to that, give credit to your hunches, imaginative impulses, use that
intuition. Reason can out talk all of your intuitive thoughts, so
if a thought keeps returning like " gosh I really would like to take
that workshop in french cooking" don't let the fact that nobody in
your family likes French food stop you. Feel the hunch ,, does learning
to do french cooking produce a feeling of peace and joy inside you?
big clue,, your feelings toward something is your compass on your
heart path.
Step 8
Can you NOT do it and live comfortably? Don't struggle against the
call of your joy.. It will keep hounding you, always in the back of
your mind until you take action.
Step 9
If there is real doubt or fear about something then let it go..living
from the heart does not include fear, doubt anxiety.
Step 10
Like Robert Schuller once asked "What would you do if you KNEW you
wouldn't fail? " No struggle? Struggle means you have gotten off the
path , you are in the wrong ocean. If something is a labor of love
but doesn't feel like labor or work, that is a hearts desire in action.
Step 11:
Still not sure ? Then ask your God or universe or higher self for
a sign, a pointer and then watch and listen for it.
Step 12:
Step forward and take action. This may take some faith and risk but
you have to take a step. Don't let a safe but unfulfilling environment
be the hindrance to better! If you have read down this far you then
you can no longer just sit there and wish,,, Know that you were directed
by Spirit to read this and begin to live your heart's desire, Yes
this article IS one of those messages or signs you have been waiting
for.
Best wishes
